Copyright and Takedown Policy

Effective August 24, 2026

We respect the copyright and intellectual property rights of others, and we expect the same from anyone who submits content to this site.

How We Source Content

  • News and neighborhood articles are written by our editorial team and cite and link to the original source rather than reproducing it.
  • Resident submissions (photos, event details, business listings, and more) require confirming you have the right to share what you submit — see our Community Submission Policy.
  • Business owners are responsible for the logos, photos, and other materials they provide for their own directory listing.

Reporting a Copyright Concern

If you believe something on this site uses your copyrighted work without permission, email us at hello@summerlakes.community with:

  • A link to the page where the material appears
  • A description of the copyrighted work and why you believe it infringes
  • Your contact information
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

What Happens Next

We review reports promptly and, where a concern is valid, remove or correct the material. If we believe a report is mistaken — for example, the material is properly licensed, publicly available government or news information we’ve linked to rather than copied, or otherwise not an infringement — we’ll explain why rather than removing it automatically.

Repeat Concerns

If a resident or business repeatedly submits content that infringes on others’ rights, we may decline further submissions from that source.
